Laundry

Well, after being sick on and off for most of the past two months, I am so far behind on laundry that my DH finally offered to learn how to run our machines!?! I knew he must be out of socks. Other things too, but socks are the number one thing with him. He would wear the same pair of jeans for weeks but socks? oh no, clean ones every day.

He has put things in our old washer in the past but the new one intimidates him badly. It is a front loader and he thinks it looks like a spaceship control board. Actually we got the new stuff almost a year ago but he showed no interest in them beyond comparing them to a spaceship. To be honest, I am probably not using them to their full potential. I put things in and set for a nice normal cycle and that is it. We are talking, you see, about machines that can apparently wash 10 towels in a pint of water with a tsp of soap, or something like that and dry them as fast or faster than they were washed. They can tell you how you set the last load to run and count down how long til they are done and the washer can tell you how fast it is spinning, just in case you need to know.

So DH says if anyone is going to screw them up it will not be him, at least he did until he ran out of socks.

So now I sorta feel like Sofia Socksorter.

Blech. I used to love laundry day and I loved ironing even more. Now I can't stand either.
