Bronchitis - Ack!

Hello world, it's me. I'm back. Not that I have been anywhere. Hmm, actually I have been somewhere. In my bedroom, sleeping through television, phone calls and door bells.

I have had bronchitis, complete with constant cough, multiple doctor visits and threats from doctor that if I don't get better, the hospital may see a lot more of me. I think that was supposed to scare my immune system into overdrive. Didn't seem to work, however.

My dogs were very concerned. They clustered around me in bed and jumped up whenever I moved, which was fairly often as I was coughing a lot. While I was coughing and wheezing, they would sit there with these really pained looks.

'Oh my, listen to her. Should we go get Daddy again? She sounds awful.'

They took turns going after my DH. Honest, they did. He would come upstairs to see if I needed anything.

'Are you okay? Max was whining at me again. ' Or Sidney or Rocky.

I am better now anyway. I have been out of the house and even driven my new old car around a bit.

I love my car, it is a 2001, so not new but oh, it is the nicest car I have ever had. It has all the extras you can imagine and doesn't get great mileage. I must admit that I was looking at small economical cars, Hondas, and Toyotas, Civics and such. Easy to park and easy on gas, practical. You know.

Then when I was walking around a car lot looking for small things to drive, I saw this car. It looked like a small Cadillac so I looked inside, just to see what I wasn't going to buy. Leather seats, keyless entry, low miles says the salewoman, who thrust a key in my hand. Why not drive it around the block? Okay...

Once inside, I realized it was a Lincoln, a very small Lincoln, but still one of those luxury gas guzzlers. Oh, no, says the sales lady, it gets very good mileage, and look the dash is digital. I sank into leather seats, heated, she whispered and has adjustable lumbar support, see?

Oh, I can't afford this, I thought and she promptly informed me that it was the same price as the Civic wagon I had been looking at.

Well, to make a long story short, I wound up taking it home for my DH to look at. Just to look at. Right. You know how this ends don't you? Yep.

I am the proud owner of a 2001 Lincoln Continental with every possible accessory. Not exactly my economical easy to park Honda or Toyota although it is actually very easy to park. And it is not very big at all. I parked next to a Grand Am at Walmarts and they were the same length. Huh!

Everyone is astonished that I, Me, actually picked out this car. But you know what, I think it suits me very well. Rather plain looking on the outside and very special on the inside. hehe

Hi Sis! Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well! I am glad though that you're on your way to recovery. Take it easy, okay? The new car sounds awesome by the way. Heated leather seats are perfect for the winter! I wanted to thank you for sending the leaves! Her project has been turned in and it looks fabulous! Thanks!
