A new grand baby, thyroid and stuff
I haven’t updated for a while. Life hasn’t been boring or exciting, interesting maybe.
I have a new great-grand child. Lexi Christine Lynn is her name and she is so cute. Her mom is my granddaughter Sarah, who is Tammy’s daughter. The link below is to some pictures of the clan at the hospital. Use “King” as password to access the site.

Lexi is my fourth great grand child. Makes me feel older than dirt until I hold them. Then I am just thrilled. There is nothing like a new baby to perk up a family, I think.
What else? Thyroid. I have been taking the medicine for about a month, I think and not seeing a whole lot of improvement. Some, but nothing major. I feel a little more alert and I think my skin is not so bad. It has been easier to get up in the morning and get with taking care of my diabetic dog. She, by the way, has glaucoma now, so we have added eye drops to her med list.
I have been on the increased metformin about a month too and that is good and bad. My blood glucose levels are way down, probably will see a A1c of 6.5 at least if not lower. That is very encouraging and makes my food planning easier. I have more choices and that is always nice.
But I am still having some of the diarrhea that metformin is known for and while that is not every day or to the level of dehydration, it is more often than I am comfortable with. My husband has made me promise to talk to the doctor this week.
I am tired of hot weather and having to stay in because of air quality alerts. Boring to the max.
I hope you are all having a nice summer.

Lexi is soooo cute!
I hope the thyroid meds kick in soon. I hear that they take a while before you start noticing the changes.
Miss you sister!
