Thyroid

Yep, the latest thing to go wrong with my body. I have an underactive thyroid. I am taking one little pill every day. My doctor says I should feel really good in about three months or so. Apparently that little bitty pill can take a long time to work. But she says that when it kicks in I will be amazed at how much better I feel. She said that most people can't believe how bad they felt before being diagnosed and treated. I hope so.

And my A1C was still high so my metformin dose has been doubled.

This is a new doctor. My old one retired and he wasn't really paying attention to things. I would have changed doctors a while back but this is a small town and it is hard to get into a doctor's practice. We don't seem to have enough GPs here. I do like this woman tho. She seems very detail oriented, which is what you want your doc to be. We'll see.

Anyway, here I am waiting for the energy or whatever to kick in.

An underactive thyroid? YIKES! I hope the meds kick in soon. Sorry I haven't emailed in a while. I surf the net and read my blogs and comment away, but by the time I'm through, I barely look at email and turn away because I'm too tired at night to do anything else! I promise to do better though!

The meds will kick in and you will notice a huge difference. Thing is ... you'll be on those little pills probably forever. I was properly diagnosed about 5 years ago and feel much better. Before that, the headaches were killing me and the other symptoms were no picnic. Hope you're doing better soon.
